Pearle Peterson is a proud fifth-generation resident of Anacortes. Growing up in Anacortes, she developed a strong connection to the area, its people, and the values that shaped her upbringing. After graduating from Anacortes High School, Pearle continued her education locally, joining the pioneering class of Skagit Valley College’s Bachelor of Management program. She successfully earned her bachelor’s degree in 2020, becoming one of the first graduates of this innovative program.
Pearle’s professional journey is marked by her diverse experiences and a strong commitment to community service. She began her career working in various local restaurants, where she developed an appreciation for the importance of customer service and community engagement. These early roles allowed her to build a solid foundation of skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership, which would prove invaluable in her later endeavors.
Her transition to a role at a local law firm marked a significant turning point in her career. It was here that Pearle discovered her passion for nonprofit work, particularly in the realm of civil legal services. She became increasingly involved in efforts to support vulnerable populations and advocate for equal access to justice.
Pearle’s dedication to her community extends beyond her professional life. In her free time, she enjoys event planning, gardening, and making her house a home. Her two dogs, Sophie and Franklin, are her constant companions, and she treasures the time she spends with them.
As someone who is committed to her community, Pearle continues to seek out opportunities to give back and make a difference. She is honored to work as the Fundraising and Development Coordinator for Island Health Foundation. Pearle saw the difference Island Health has made for her community, and she is thrilled to continue the work to ensure 5-star quality healthcare remains close to home.
