Hillary Haug is a retired Physical Therapist who spent 34 years mending her patients. She began her career in inpatient rehabilitation, progressed through hospital and outpatient private practice. She was also a guest lecturer on McKenzie Treatment of the Spine at UPS and UW throughout her career.
For the last 13 years of her career, Hillary developed and then managed a Hand and Physical Therapy Clinic for Proliance Surgeons in Edmonds, WA. She was responsible for recruitment, retention, annual budgeting as well as the day to day management of personnel. Hillary worked closely with the physicians and other professionals to insure the best outcomes for all patients and to promote and maintain a smoothly running and profitable clinic.
During this time, Hillary also grew two children into responsible adults. She chased soccer, basketball, tennis and cross-country buses to attend meets and cheer them on. She was an active volunteer at all levels of school during the growing years.
Now in retirement, Hillary enjoys travel, boating, gardening, quilting, biking and spending time with her grandchild. She is an advocate for both the city of Anacortes and Island Health. Hillary is passionate about maintaining the highest level of care at our small, but mighty hospital as well as growing the services available to meet the needs of our dynamic community.
