David has had a career in healthcare administration spanning several decades, making an impact on both regional and national levels. Beginning in the US Army Medical Service Corps, he developed a foundation of leadership that guided his progression through various high-level roles in hospital administration. Dave’s tenure at Providence Health System is particularly notable, where he served as Service Area Chief Executive for multiple facilities and dedicated nearly 25 years in administrator roles of Providence St. Peter Hospital.
Dave received a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota. He became a founding member and past chairman of the Foundation for Health Care Quality and founding member of Washington State Hospital Services Association. Dave was also deeply engaged with the Washington State Hospital Association, Rotary Club of Olympia, and various other community and professional organizations.
Even in retirement, he has remained active, chairing capital campaigns, consulting, and serving on numerous boards, including Island Health Foundation, which Dave joined in 2022.
